“Unconventional, bordering on the bizarre” is how one critic describes the Squeeds. Their first release on Aarchon, White Matter, embraces the rawness of swarm punk with a classic European, eclectic sound and a hint of machined metal. None of the Danish band members speaks a word of English even though the lyrics to all of their songs are in English. The subject matter of their songs may reflect this fact, and may, at times, seem confusing to the listener. But on closer inspection it (somehow) all makes sense.
